posted Friday, 11 August 2006
The following is a short note I sent to our local Emerald Rag, regards their short item about Shell Co's subsidury storeing the gas underground, somewhere beteen Emerald & Springsure, Central Qld Au.
'REFERENCE TO CLEAN COAL… letter I just sent to Editor of C.Q. News..
Interesting environmental subject in storing Carbon Dioxide underground, in recent news.
I had to search for further details on this subject and found at
http://www.spacedaily.com/news/energy-tech-04zs.html
If you are serious about going on line
a few references about the subject would not go astray.

Space Daily Article refers to:
"Dr. Ben Rostron is part of an extensive team working on the $28 million International Energy Agency Weyburn CO2 Monitoring and Storage Project-the largest of its kind-that has safely buried the greenhouse gas and reduced emissions from entering the atmosphere. "It's one thing to say that underground is a great place to store carbon dioxide, but it's another thing to be able to prove it as we have done," said Rostron, from the U of A's Faculty of Science and a co-author on a paper appearing today in GSA Today, a journal published by the Geological Society of America." end of/quote..
